Meet Jamee
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) #18516 Colorado
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) #14361 California
You’ve learned how to function but not how to feel free. You may be the strong one, the deep feeler, the one others rely on. But inside, you're exhausted. Maybe anxiety runs the show. Maybe you’re grieving something no one else can see. Maybe your relationships feel stuck in the same painful cycles, no matter how much you try to change. You long for relief, but more than that, you long to feel like yourself. To be deeply known, to speak your truth without guilt, to feel peace in your body and clarity in your choices. To stop repeating old patterns and start living from a place that’s grounded and real. That’s the work Jamee loves to do. Together, you’ll slow down and listen to what your emotions and patterns are trying to protect. You’ll create space for grief, anger, tenderness, and truth. Whether you're healing trauma, navigating relationship challenges, or untangling from people-pleasing and burnout, this work is about rediscovering and reclaiming who you are.
Jamee meets her clients with warmth, curiosity, and authenticity, creating a safe space for deep healing and self-exploration. Grounded in both lived and clinical experience, she gently guides clients through processing trauma, building emotional resilience, and reconnecting with their sense of self. She believes in a client-centered, collaborative approach and often integrates inspiration and insight to help clients feel empowered and understood. Jamee supports clients in finding clarity, balance, and confidence by working through limiting beliefs, inner conflict, and harmful relational patterns. Whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, or relationship pain, Jamee is honored to walk alongside you on your healing journey.
Jamee is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master of Arts in Mental Health Clinical Counseling from Regis University and a B.A. in Psychology (minor in Philosophy) from Metropolitan State University of Denver. -
How does counseling work?We are currently offering virtual appointments only until further notice. We utilize secure video conferencing to enable face-to-face conversations. The video call is secure and confidential. When you schedule an appointment, you will be sent an email with a secure link enabling you to connect by video at the time of your appointment.
-
How often will we meet?Generally, counseling sessions are held on a weekly basis as we begin to collaborate on goals, build rapport and gain momentum. As we progress, we may readjust our scheduled meetings to biweekly, once a month, etc. Some goals may take a few weeks to complete, while others may take several weeks, or months to resolve.
-
How long will I be in counseling?Counseling is a personal investment, and for many, it is the most important investment one can make. Since counseling is an ongoing process, commitment length depends largely on the severity of issues and the goals we create together. We are devoted to clients’ therapeutic process and will diligently assess and monitor client progress throughout our journey together.
-
What happens if I miss an appointment?A 24-hour notice is required to cancel and/or reschedule an appointment. If you do not show for your scheduled appointment and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.
-
Do you accept insurance? We are an out-of-network provider, which means we do not take insurance. We can provide a superbill at the end of each month that you can submit for reimbursement. We highly encourage you to speak directly to your insurance provider to inquire about reimbursement options.
-
What is the overall cost for counseling?Under law, health care providers (including professional counselors) are required to provide a Good Faith Estimate, explaining the anticipated overall costs for health care services. You may ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate prior to scheduling a service. For more information, please visit cms.org.
-
Is counseling confidential?Yes. Confidentiality of all client information is protected by law. However, there are some limits to confidentiality when the safety of the client/others is compromised. We can provide you with the details of these exceptions during the initial counseling session.
-
How do I seek reimbursement from my health insurance company?Generally, to seek reimbursement, log into your insurance portal and look for “submit a claim” or “out-of-network reimbursement.” You’ll typically upload a claim form and the superbill we provide. If you're unsure where to start, try calling the number on your card and ask how to submit an out-of-network claim for therapy.
-
How do I know if I (or my child) need counseling? If feelings or behaviors are interfering with daily life or relationships counseling can help. You don’t have to wait for a crisis to get support. Wondering if it’s time is often the first step toward healing.
-
What happens during the first counseling session?During your first session, we’ll review office policies, confidentiality, and informed consent. We’ll talk about what brought you to counseling, your goals, and gather information to better understand your needs. We’ll explain what to expect from therapy, answer your questions, and begin building a trusting connection focused on your strengths and challenges.
-
Does RFC Counseling provide in-person therapy or online therapy? We currently offer virtual therapy sessions for flexibility and convenience. We use secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms to ensure confidentiality. An in-person location is in development to provide more options, but virtual therapy remains our trusted and effective service.
-
What are your fees, and do you offer sliding scale rates? While we don’t currently offer sliding scale fees, we recognize that financial situations vary widely. Our rates reflect the extensive training and dedication of our providers to deliver exceptional care. We’re committed to transparency and accessibility, and invite you to a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your needs and find the best way to support your mental health journey.
